Yesterday evening started a three-night shooting of “The Man of Tai Chi” in Wu Kau Tang. Keanu directed the car scenes himself sitting in a truck as a “commander” and the shooting lasted the whole night long. So during the breaks he couldn’t stop yawning. There was a lot of staff, stuntmen and vehicles for this night scene with actor Chen Hu (Tiger). Even if it is a night shooting, there will be a meeting each night to finalize this 18 minutes stunt.
Many Thanks to Keanu Russian Club for the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYQhrKysvlg
Bot & Dolly team pimped out a Chevy Sonic with a paint canon, sprayer and 1500lb robot with custom controls. The results were extraordinary and highlight B&D’s extensive engineering and fabrication capabilities for creative work. Keanu Reeves recently used his extensive Rolodex to get an amazing array of filmmakers on camera to talk analog vs. digital in his very well-received documentary “Side By Side” and now it seems he’s looking to change the game a bit on his directorial debut, “Man Of Tai Chi.” Сoncept video that show a fight scene and how Reeves will be utilizing the Bot & Dolly’s Iris — a pretty advanced looking, robotically controlled camera system — to take viewers in, up and around the flying hands and feets.
There was no shooting yesterday. Keanu left his hotel around 1:00 PM and went to the film company in Kwun Tong for a meeting.
The day before yeasterday Keanu went to Sai Kung for the shooting of Man of Tai Chi but there was a heavy rain. When he moved to the bushes for the shooting his staff gave him a raincoat but Keanu refused it, preferring the shower.
Poor Keanu, his fans and the media are putting the pressure on him and it makes him nervous. I can understand that he is very busy and all this is delaying the shooting of his movie “Man of Tai Chi. And, of course, time is money!
But how can we live without him! If the media and his fans are watching him everywhere he goes it’s only because we are interested by his projects and his movies. Specially this time as he is Director for the first time. No worry Mr Reeves, when this movie will come out, we will also be there for you and we will promote Man of Tai Chi all over the world. So please forgive us for this inconvenience, try to relax for a while and keep smiling boy! Your fans love you and you deserve it so much.
On June 19th Keanu went to Clear Water Bay beaches in order to achieve the desired shooting. He has been shooting during the period of confidentiality, he saw a large number of media so he was very nervous. He didn’t want to be filmed and pushed the camera of somebody who was filming him. So more helicopters are now used to film.

So a warm “thank you” to Meyke (LunaMey) for her help and for sharing those pictures.
