The Hollywood hunk has made a name for himself after appearing in blockbusters such as Speed, The Matrix and the Bill & Ted movies. He enjoys everything about his career, and can’t imagine ever doing anything else.

Keanu is amazed by how much the industry has changed since he first started out, and is especially struck by the fact that many young stars now don’t audition for parts.

“I auditioned for Something’s Gotta Give five times. I don’t mind auditioning. I run into situations with young actors where agents don’t want them to audition because they don’t want their actors or actresses to not get the job,” he said. “But that’s rejection. And [auditioning] itself is a creative endeavour. I’m trying, I’m trying to ‘hustle and rustle’, is what I call it.”

The 46-year-old says the best thing about having a lengthy career is he can now be selective about the parts he takes. He only appears in features he is passionate about, and often uses his own cash to run them.

“I just try to put myself in positions where I can finance films,” he told the British edition of Elle magazine. “I want to create work for myself and others.”

Carl Rinsch (The Gift) has vacated the director’s chair on the ‘Logan’s Run’ remake in order to helm ’47 Ronin’ starring Keanu Reeves in a retelling of the Japanese legend.

Ridley Scott protege (and future son-in-law?) Carl Rinsch was set to direct the remake of Logan’s Run for Warner Bros., with 28 Days Later screenwriter Alex Garland already at work on a script.

Now, according to Heat Vision, Rinsch is no longer attached to the Logan’s Run remake, due to conflict with another project he has on his slate: Universal’s adaptation of the popular Japanese legend, 47 Ronin.

When John steals a video camera, he finds inspiration in his directionless life. He turns the lens on Mia and Violet and the girls start to open up about their past and how it has informed their present lives. As they navigate their daily routine of bars, crowds and New York City living, they embark on a path of self-discovery.
