On Monday, Travis and I drove over to LA to attend the 20th anniversary of "Simply Shakespeare," a celebrity reading of a Shakespeare comedy that raises money for The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are the chairs of this event each year.
We found our seats, we had great seats on the Orchestra level, and listened to the music of Jackson Browne while we waited for the show to begin. Then, Rita Wilson, Julia Roberts, Helen Hunt and Nikki Reed came out on the stage. They danced around then came down into the audience and then exited. They came back with the rest of the celebrity cast, including Tom Hanks, Ewan McGregor, Keanu Reeves, Dana Carvey, Martin Sheen and other faces I recognized from TV and movies. They proceeded to do a script reading of "Much Ado About Nothing."

TOM HANKS, EWAN MCGREGOR, JULIA ROBERTS and KEANU REEVES have teamed up to form an all-star cast in Shakespearean classic MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING for a one-off charity performance.
The actors will read The Bard’s famous play at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica, California on Monday night (12Apr10), along with Martin Sheen and Helen Hunt, with music from veteran rocker Jackson Browne, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The show is part of a benefit gala, called the 20th Annual Simply Shakespeare Celebrity Reading, which will raise money for the Shakespeare Centre Los Angeles, an organisation which creates literary programs to help impoverished young people in the city.
The reading will be a second appearance in Much Ado About Nothing for Reeves, who also starred as Don John in the 1993 movie version with Kenneth Branagh and Emma Thompson.

… Carolla is one of three celebrities to have driven the race before – actors Adrien Brody and Patrick Warburton are the others – and 2009 celebrity winner Keanu Reeves is part of the six-driver professional contingent this season. …
… When asked if last year’s victory put a target on his back, Reeves quickly said no. "I’m racing with the pros this time," he laughed. "There’s nothing on my back. I am the back." …
